My name is Jorgito, also affectionately known as Jorgito the Oba. I was initiated / ordained into the Santeria or the Lucumi, Lukumi Regla de Osha Religion in 1996 in a town called Luyano in La Habana, Cuba.

I am fluent in English and Spanish and currently reside in Miami, South Florida. I excel as an Oba Oriate, (also known as Oba, Oriate, Italero, Obaoriate) the highest-ranking priest in the Lukumi / Santeria religion, I specialize in all types of ceremonies required before, during and after the ordainment into the Lukumi (Lucumi) / Santeria Religion, (also known as Kariosha, Hacer Santo or Raspar Santo).

I am proud to state that what sets me apart is the fact that I am humble and respectful in the manner in which I conduct myself and treat others. Among my many professional attributes, I am a very punctual person who is extremely conscious and respectful of the client’s time. I will always maintain a superior standard of ethics towards our religion. I do not tolerate the abuse or exploitation of others. Above all, I understand and respect the privacy of every individual.

I specialize in all types of ceremonies and prayers for Eggun and Osha, of the Lukumi (Lukumi) religion or Santeria. Focused in the Lukumi language and practice, my skills are very diligent, serious, firm and precise. I do this with the upmost respect and responsibility.

My experience and knowledge were developed while working first handedly with multiple Oba Oriateses and highly recognized elder oloshas in Florida and Cuba, as well as with the influence from babalawos / oluawos that have generously confided and shared with me valuable information concerning the Osha rules.

The main source of my teachings, have been under the tutelage of my mentor Oba Oriate Lazaro Pedro Alfaro, affectionately known as “Perico or Alfaro”. Alfaro is the one who has vested the most time and energies by sharing his knowledge in my religious development. Carlos Breso Jr. is another Oriate who has been extremely generous in sharing his knowledge with me.

Since the beginning of my course of discipline, I continued to learn, mold, develop and enrich my own style. This allows me to always perform within the guidelines, rules and regulations of the Lukumi religion.

I have focused my energies in learning the Lukumi language and have specialized in all types of religious ceremonies, prayers and procedures for Eggun and Osha.

This has allowed me to practice and conduct myself in an extremely precise manner, with a serious and solid religious ethic. I take into account the responsibility entrusted to me by the people with whom I work, particularly since their future can be at risk. I do this with the upmost respect and responsibility. I will maintain a superior standard of ethics towards our religion, and will not tolerate the abuse or exploitation of others. Above all, I understand and respect the privacy of every individual.
